While all eyes are on the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online bracelet events, the WSOP.com Summer Online Circuit Event played out from July 16 through July 27. During that time a dozen gold rings were awarded, 4,714 combined entrants competed, and $1,853,615 in prize money was awarded.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights from the series.
Cannuli Wins Ring to Go Along with Bracelet
The third tournament of the series was the $525 buy-in Event #3: $150,000 GTD NLH Monster Stack, which attracted 397 players who rebought 144 times. The 541-entry field resulted in a $270,500 prize pool that was reserved for the top 80 finishers.
Among those to cash were Chris "Robotbob47" Moorman (72nd - $974), Aaron "FrankDux" Massey (63rd - $974), Katie "katelin" Lindsay (43rd - $1,217), Orson "borgatcha" Young (27th - $1,704), Ethan "Rampunts" Yau (19th - $1,704), Landon "ActionDealer" Tice (13th - $2,813), Darren "darrenelias" Elias (8th - $6,357), and Kevin "DegenLen" Sullivan (3rd - $25,238).
In the end, Tom ".BEAST." Cannuli bested "yogotttmepro" in heads-up play to win the title for $46,256 and his first gold ring, which will go nicely with the bracelet he won at the 2017 WSOP Event #61: $3,333 WSOP.com Online NLH High Roller for $322,815. Cannuli also finished sixth in the 2015 WSOP Main Event for $1.4 million.

Two-Time Bracelet Winner Nathan Gamble Bags First Gold Ring
The fourth tournament of the series was the $320 buy-in Event #4: $50,000 GTD PLO 8-Max, which attracted 167 players who rebought 146 times. The 313-entry field resulted in a $93,900 prize pool that was reserved for the top 36 finishers.
Among those to cash were Scott "Rumcake" Ball (10th - $1,558.74), Jeff "NedrudRelyt" Madsen (14th - $1,183.14), Ankush "rickrosstheb" Mandavia (18th - $901.44), and Event #3 champ Tom ".BEAST." Cannuli (26th - $704.25)
After six and a half hours of play, it was two-time bracelet winner Nathan "surfbum" Gamble besting Roland "Prngls12" Israelashvili in heads-up play to win a $19,137 top prize and his first gold ring.
Gamble won his first bracelet back in 2017 when he took down Event #46: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better for $223,339, and then last summer he won WSOP.com Event #6: $600 PLO8 6-Handed for $89,424.

Paggeot Wins WSOP Summer Circuit Event #7
The seventh tournament was the $250 buy-in Event #7: $50,000 GTD NLH Freezeout, which attracted 424 players, which resulted in a $98,792 prize pool that was paid out to the top 75 finishers.
Among those to cash were Millard "meekmill" Hale (11th - $1,086.71), Daniel "juice" Buzgon (15th - $1,086.71), Ralph "sosana" Perry (27th - $395.16), Justin "Jsaliba2" Saliba (31st - $365.53), Ryan "hagzzz021" Hagerty (38th - $345.77), and Jesse "mrjessejames" Sylvia (42nd - $335.89).
In the end, it was Corey "Corgasm" Paggeot besting Wilbert "quads8888" Chun in heads-up play to win a $33,081 top prize and his second career gold ring.

Piccioli Wins WSOP Summer Circuit Main Event for $51,247
On Sunday, July 25, the $525 buy-in Event #10: $200,000 GTD Main Event attracted 413 runners who rebought 230 times. The 633-entry field resulted in a $321,500 prize pool that was paid out to the top 100 finishers.
Among those to cash were Ryan "hagzzz021" Hagerty (11th - $4,050.90), Joseph "kolebear" Hebert (13th - $3,118.55), Ryan "protential" Laplante (15th - $3,118.55), Daniel "juice" Buzgon (23rd - $1,961.15), David "dwpoker" Williams (29th - $1,736.10), and Krista "Pollux" Gifford (34th - $1,543.20).
In the end, it was Bryan "Pellepelle" Piccioli besting Josh "YoelRomero" King in heads-up play to win a $51,247.10 top prize and his second gold ring. The win came two weeks after Piccioli captured his second career gold bracelet, which came when he topped a 959-entry field to win the 2021 WSOP Online Event #12: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Deepstack for $83,332.30.

What’s Next?
The WSOP will host its next series – Rio Online Circuit – from August 20-31 with the $25K Freeroll taking place on Tuesday, September 28. A dozen gold rings will be awarded during the series.
The Caesars Las Vegas Online Circuit will also award 12 rings from September 15-26, while the Fall Online Super Circuit will offer up 18 gold rings from October 9-26.
